With a stack of awards behind them and control over every aspect of their hand-crafted creations, we know you'll be pretty pleased with this pack of wholesome sheep milk cheeses, all made with vegetarian rennet!
Who is Prom Country Cheese?
From paddock to plate, these guys are the get it done, we mean ALL done, kind of cheesemakers! Having complete control over the entire process, from growing the pastures, to breeding and milking, handcrafting the cheese, then proudly presenting the final products to you, Prom Country Cheese are the real deal, second generation cheesemakers based in Moyarra Valley. They could likely even tell you which of their happily frolicking sheep actually produced the piece of cheese you receive! Just like Santa's reindeer, each sheep has their role in ensuring us (big or little) kids get a good helping of cheese. Unless you're naughty - then you get coal. Just kidding, we can all have cheese, glorious sheep cheese!
What are the cheeses?
With four favourites included, this is a great showcase of what these artisian Victorian cheesemakers can do!
This little goat is cute but don’t let its looks fool you. It’s got quite a kick and it will really kick on as it gets older, developing an earthier, funkier personality with age. The Prom Country team are dedicated to their animals and let them take the lead in where and how they graze on the farm’s fertile pastures, when they come in for milking and how they spend their day; they’re a little spoiled but their lush life really shows in the quality, rich milk they produce to make this creamy delight.
What appears to be a very simple cheese at first glance, is dispelled when you first taste this lively semi-hard cheese. It's savoury flavour makes it ideal to pop on your cheeseboard and serve up to your fellow cheese lovers. But even greater still is this cheeses versatility as a less salty feta alternative in salads and frittatas.
The distinctive, rich terroir of the pristine Wilsons Promontory region really shines through in this delicious tribute to the beautiful native bushland and coastal scenery. It’s a beautiful place to live, for people and cows alike! Neighbours share their cow milk for this cheese is made in big fat wheels with a rich buttery yellow colour. It’s matured over 6 months with a natural rind and you can taste the goodness of the Wattlebank Park Farm milk – it almost makes you want to yodel!
Just one bite of Kongwak Reserve and you are instantly taken to the heart of the region it comes from. Native mountain pepper berries with a fresh eucalyptus aroma that really lifts the sharp crisp of the firm cheese. Simply divine.

If you would like us to delay your pack, please let us know.
We send all parcels the fastest way possible which is either via our own Cheese Angel delivery service or AusPost Express, depending on your location. Cost of shipping is $15 and this will be added to your order on checkout. Packs sent AusPost are wrapped in a special insulation blanket with gel ice packs. Packs delivered by our Cheese Angels travel in a refrigerated truck and you will receive notification on the day of delivery.
Each piece of cheese is around 150-200g.
