Four cheeses from four different milks!
Each month we bring different cheeses together but with this pack we decided to go even further and bring four cheeses from four different milks together.
I'm sure you've had goat's milk cheese, plenty of cow's milk cheese and perhaps the odd sheep's milk cheese here and there. Have you, though, tried camel's milk cheese? Well, if you haven't, then I can certainly tell you that you are in for a pleasant surprise! It is delicate, clean and quite delicious!
WHAT IS IN THE PACK:
SOFT: Goat Camembert, Milawa Cheese Co. | VIC
The great thing about this cheese is how it changes so much as it matures. Young, it is fresh, firm and citrusy. As it ages, the rind and inside breaks down to give a flowing and luscious cheese with a strong goaty flavour. The sign of it reaching maturity is
brownish flecks on the rind. This cheese will go well eaten past its Best Before date. If eating when fully ripe, allow the cheese to come to room temperature to allow the pungency of its rind to disappear.
SOFT: Marinated Persian Feta, Summerland Camels | QLD
Camel milk naturally has a smooth, clean texture and is slightly reminiscent of cow’s milk. Due to the different make up of the milk, camel milk is a little trickier to turn to cheese, as the curds become very delicate and need to be handled with extreme care. When it’s done right, the result is what you will taste with the Marinated Persian Feta. Soft, smooth, delicate flavours with a clean finish. This feta is award winning and handmade with love and care. Perfect to eat on it’s own or as a premium ingredient.
HARD: Primavera, Grandvewe | TAS
Grandvewe's Nicole Gilliver took the centuries old Spanish recipe of Manchego to create this Primavera for you. Rather than trying to alter the recipe to suit, like many other makers might, Nicole stuck to her guns to make a Manchego the way tradition states, but allowed for the terroir of her piece of heaven to give it distinct characteristics that make it more Tasmanian.
BLUE: Bolte's Bonanza, Apostle Whey | VIC
This is a delicious blue that has so many sensations in the texture that you'll be pulling some wow faces when tasting it for the first time! Bolte’s Bonanza is a blue vein that has been matured in wax, creating a creamy, moist cheese with an altered flavour and texture to a naturally rinded blue. You have a smooth texture and then crunchy crystalised blue vein pockets that burst in your mouth - it’s a blissful surprise with every bite!

Each cheese weighs approx. 150g-200g. Sometimes we will find a brilliant or rare cheese that weighs less that we just want to showcase to you.
We will deliver incredible cheeses from around Australia, direct to your door. All handmade by small, artisan makers.
We deliver to most of the country via refrigerated vehicles through Home Delivery Service. Everywhere else we ship using a special insulated box through Australia Post. More details about delivery and where we deliver to can be found here.
