The Grazing Box
Yummy! Maybe a savory spread in place of one of the two sweet jams. Some of these indigenous flavors are supposed to be good.
The figs and flatbread were good but the quince and pear sauces were too sweet and fluid.
I didn’t realise this came without cheeses (my fault), but that’s okay - everything was delicious!
I ordered both the Glazing Box and the Soft Cheese pack, it was the perfect combination of creaminess, saltiness and sweetness. The Pear paste worked perfectly with the soft cheese and the cheese with flowers and lemon myrtle worked perfectly with the marinated figs.
I have been receiving monthly cheese ‘therapy’ packages for over half a year. All have been amazing. This quartet is by far the most exceptional. We have as yet only (?) feasted on the Tarago Triple Cream, and Shadows of Blue. The creaminess and mouth feel of the cheese is velvety smooth. The tastes are complex, and paired with the sour dough crackers, baby fig and quince paste from the Grazing box, made for a sumptuous decedent feast enjoyed by my family. Waiting with anticipation for a visit from friends on the weekend to indulge in the remaining cheeses. The next best thing to the taste of these superb cheeses is knowing that we are in a small way contributing to artisans being able to continue producing a cheese that would stand with any we have tasted in our travels. We look to with anticipation each month for our package of therapy.
