Who is Prom Country Cheese?

Having complete control over the entire process, from growing the pastures, to breeding and milking, handcrafting the cheese, then proudly presenting the final products to you, Prom Country Cheese are the real deal, second generation cheesemakers based in Moyarra Valley. They could likely even tell you which of their happily frolicking sheep actually produced the piece of cheese you receive! Just like Santa's reindeer, each sheep has their role in ensuring us (big or little) kids get a good helping of cheese. Unless you're naughty - then you get coal. Just kidding, we can all have cheese, glorious sheep cheese!
What are the cheeses?
With four favourites included, this is a great showcase of what these artisian Victorian cheesemakers can do!
You may wonder, why it is called Granny’s Blue? Yes it’s a beautiful blue cheese, the name gives that away. But why Granny’s? Well, let us tell you a story. This cheese is named after a very special lady in this cheesemaker’s life, more precisely Burke’s grandmother. It has a dense spread of blue filaments and a crumbly texture which transforms to a buttery, soft and mild flavour sensation
What appears to be a very simple cheese at first glance, is dispelled when you first taste this lively semi-hard cheese. It's savoury flavour makes it ideal to pop on your cheeseboard and serve up to your fellow cheese lovers. But even greater still is this cheeses versatility as a less salty feta alternative in salads and frittatas.
If we could we’d change the name of this one from mist to gail or a strong gust of wind - it’s so good it blows you away! Oh my, Woolamai! Prom Country you have hit the jackpot with this one! Not only has this deliciousness blown us away, but also had a similar effect on the judges at the Sydney Royal Show. They once awarded this deliciousness with super duper gold! We
Sheep Sensation is made in accordance with a unique slow-make style that creates a quirky, wrinkly pattern on the outside. This deliciousness allows you to truly taste the terroir of South Gippsland with evolving flavours on the palette as it matures. Sheep Sensation will melt in your mouth and it won’t be long until you go for a second bite.
