MV Mosaic Collection Sparkling Meslier Brut Rosé
This has to be one of the most beautiful bottles on the market. Featuring the greyhound necklace, this pays homage to Jo Irvine's love of greyhounds and her work in rescuing these beautiful creatures. The grapes are specially grown in the Adelaide Hills and matured for 24months prior to bottling. It is matured for a further 12months in the bottle before it is released to you. It's bubbles baby! This goes with every cheese!
2016 Mosaic Collection Sorter Pinot Gris
This is a real treat! Jo Irvine completely blew the budget to make this one by buying some of the finest French oak barrels. We're so glad she did because they result is bang-on brilliant. Spending 12months on lees and then 14months in new and second-use French oak barrels before release, this wine is luxury, texture and fullness all rolled up into convenient little sips. Each this with pears and blue cheese and you won't go wrong.
2016 Art Collection Chardonnay
A great chardonnay with a few years on it gives this wine far more character than a "store-bought" one. Plucked from the elevated regions of Eden Valley, serve this cool with a pizza topped with smoked salmon and capers. Deeeelish!
MV Mosiac Collection Mistelle Fortified Semillon
The era of ports and dessert wines is making a resurgence as winemakers, like Jo Irvine, create specimens that are in touch with the modern palette. This thing is delicious and light. The grapes are only partially fermented then fortified with spirit. From there it gets aged for 9 years in French barrels and bottled 12months prior to release. Seriously... Who has that patience? Serve chilled with your cheese board at the end of a great meal and simply lean back and enjoy the company.
2017 Art Collection Cabernet Franc
Although genetically related to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc has less tannins and is more aromatic giving a gorgeous raspberry and five spice flavour. These best part is that this makes this wine ideal for food pairing! Just 33 hectares of this grape variety remain in the Barossa, so Jo Irvine has made it her mission to conserve the last remaining vines so that the Barossa maintains a high level of variety.
2016 Art Collection Merlot
There is a long history of merlot making in Jo Irvine's family. Her father, James, was known as the "Master Merlot Maker". Jo followed her dad around the winery, helping make his long line of merlots from the young age of seven. A few decades later and this drop is picking up some big awards! Try this with all cheeses and you decide what you like best.
2014 Mosaic Collection Argos Shiraz
The Barossa is known around the world for its outstanding Shiraz. A bit of age and great terroir give rise to the perfect storm in this bottle. A wine that is "rich, deep and meaningful" (a place we'd love to be), this is why people love Levrier. Matured on French oak for 24months and then bottled, this baby has all the hallmarks to be that one that wows.
2014 Mosaic Collection Anubis Cabernet Sauvignon
This one has picked up some banging gongs around the world, so let's get it on. Cab Sav is still one of Australia's favourites but when you get someone like Jo Irvine creating it, you'll soon realise you've been doing this drop all wrong. Jo personally selects the fruit from a single vineyard in Eden Valley and then matures it for 24months in French oak before bottling. It will ruin every other Cab Sav for you. But then again, you'll have a new love.
